Oh the Drama!

This past Friday’s “name that song” was the closest call RedHouseMedia has ever seen. With a three-way tie at 4:45, we began our sudden death match (after writing the rules as this has never been attempted before.)

My fourth win in a row along with a one-hour massage from The Lakes Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork hung in the balance as Kristen and Dain sought to dethrone me. Dain was out early with an incorrect guess. Then with a correct guess on Kristen’s station I pulled ahead and ended with a dramatic win by guessing my stations song correct as well.

With a big sigh of relief I am going to try to make it a 5-peat next week.

THREE-PEAT

Another “name that song” Friday has come and gone and once again I retain the title as “Name that song” Friday winner extrordanare.  The best part is I get to keep the cowbell for one more week.

Check back next week to see if anyone can take the cowbell away from me before I reach the 4-peat mark.

Kellie wins!

Finally, after 4 months at RedHouseMedia I won “Name that song“ Friday two weeks in a row, I live to defend my cowbell for another week.

After being tied with Dain and Kristen at 13 points the last 15 minutes of the game I finally pulled ahead. Honorable mention goes to Dain (who is a sore loser but came close and finally made it onto the blog)
Better luck next time Dain!

Hair bands reign victorious over Alternative.

Well, after three consecutive weeks of Kristen winning the “Name that Song” Friday competition, Kristen has finally been defeated. (well, she was actually on vacation this week, but we’ll take the victory anyhow.)

Aaron and Dain battled it out with a dead even match at the end of 8 hours of grueling competition, which then resulted in 5 rounds of sudden death “Name that Tune” battle royal. In the eventual end, Dain was stumped by the music endeavors of White Town. Dain in his press conference following the event commented saying “I’m actually glad I missed that song.”

Aaron takes home his first victory for big hair bands in what seems to be months (excitement as shown above), and looks to defend the crown next week.

Until then, keeping rocking.

Good night Seattle!

Every Friday at RedHouseMedia, Aaron, Dain, Kellie and myself (Kristen) put our game faces on and get ready for the weekly Music Competition Friday.

What does that mean you ask?

Well, glad you asked. We each get to pick our own genre of music, Aaron (80’s Hair Band), Dain & Kellie (Alternative), and Kristen (Country) and get an even amount of time throughout the day. The goal of the game is to guess the artist of the song before anyone else can. You guess the artist correct, you get a point. You guess the artist incorrectly, you get a point taken away.

Easy – right?! Well not that easy, when some people (Kellie) can hear 2 notes of a song and guess it! I have been lucky enough to win the last 2 Friday’s in a row. Will I get to take home another win this Friday and make it a 3-Peat!? Stay Tuned.
